A few potatoes in my bag are leaking liquid and smell bad. Do I have to throw them all away?
Fresh potatoes have a wonderful, earthy or neutral aroma. However, when they begin to go bad well, the scent goes from good to…really bad. The good news is that after you’ve identified and discarded the leaking, bad ones – just rinse off the remaining good potatoes. Pat these dry and store in a cool, dark pantry at room temperature and use within a few days.
